It’s ALL about Six Degrees Lounge at 911 Franklin. I love everything about the place. The walls are adorned with erotic art by my friend, Maia www.erosartbymaia.com and the candle-lighting exudes a warm, inviting feel to the room. It’s a fantastic atmosphere in which to sit & make-out on their big, cozy couches. On a recent visit, I ran into the dream team, Carl and Deidra, creators of Envy Houston magazine. Envy has a new feature each month called the Mad Chatter’s Tease Party, which I highly recommend. Also in the house at Six Degrees, was long-time doorman, Hurricane, Marketing Maven Crystal Lee, Sharon Mannix of 002, and the MAN himself, Gary Murphy. I met Alex, who works at the door there and also met a resident bar-fly at Six Degrees, Bill. Great men. Who else has been to Six Degrees? Let me know what you think of the place.

A true Houston icon, Edwin Dean, is back in his truest form, as a "king" in the media and night scene with the return of his Houston Scene Magazine, now called HSM2. It’s an online and in-print mag that premiered in November, and does this city proud. He’s brought back an old favorite to his magazine’s team, the infamous Bella, a writer I worship for her candid sense of humor. Edwin and I go WAY back, and I’ve learned so much from him. Expect HSM2 to contribute a tremendous amount to Houston’s nightlife through, not only the magazine and website, but via events, as well. Mark your calendar for the HSM2 Christmas party on Tuesday, December 21st at the Roxy, located at 5351 West Alabama. The Roxy also played host to the HSM2 release party which was chock-full of absolutely EVERYONE in the nightclub and entertainment business, spotted at the event were Gary Murphy, Crystal Lee, Julian and Bill Cotton from Six Degrees, Charles Garibay of Sliders Bar, Jenny Green, Sean and Tanya of M Bar, Photographer Larry Fagala, OT from Opus, DJ Rocky B of Bartini, Rico Falzone of Empire Bar, Roulis of Mint, Radio Personality Charles Chavez, DJ Homey Marco and legendary promoters Bobby Stark and Byron Walton. Also in the house were Xzavier Silver, Sebastian, Lisa Moore, Brian Riggs, Jose Tupacyupanqui, John Pruett and yours truly, among many other party-goers.

Special birthday wishes go out to a local celebrity this month, Xzavier Silver. Xzavier has been with Visible Changes for eleven years and he also is the CEO for Couture Entertainment www.couture.bz. Couture Entertainment is an innovative model placement agency. Couture models are trained professionals in fashion show production, modeling, choreography and they can do more than just look gorgeous, they are also skilled spokespeople. Couture’s focus is on style, attitude, poise and presence. Xzavier will celebrate his big day with about 60-70 friends, all loading up on several party buses to go skydiving and then out for a night on the town. The Queen wishes him the happiest birthday ever!

It has been a VERY long time since the Queen was a college student, but as far as College Nights go, Toc’s got a good thing going with their Tanked Thursdays. Toc Bar is at 112 Milam and Skool Daze Productions promotes their Thursdays. Ladies are in free all night long, no cover for anyone until 10PM, half off with college ID, so it’s perfect for a student’s budget. I think "Tanked" is a great name, and the flyers reflect a hot babe in a tank top to go along with the theme. Speaking of college, I’d like to invite all of you to visit and join CollegeBarScene.com, your #1 resource for College Bars and drink recipes. Great spot for lunch; Chipotle in the Rice Lofts at 909 Texas Avenue (at Main Street.) I tried the place for the first time in my life and loved every bite. Their burritos need their own zip code, they are so darn big. There are 27 Chipotles in Texas and 12 are in the Houston-area, so if you’ve yet to try them, shame on you, because they are everywhere. They pride themselves on simplicity, attention to detail and high-quality ingredients. For more scoop, see www.chipotle.com. On the topic of lunch, Slainte Irish Pub is no longer open for lunch, but will continue to open daily at 4PM, and their fabulous food menu will still be offered at night. Red Lion Pub at 2316 Shepherd is open daily for lunch and their food and service are unsurpassable. I highly recommend the place. Their food was voted best bar food in town by citysearch.com and the title is well-deserved. Taste for yourself and see if you don’t agree with me.

The next issue will be going out on December 15th and it will feature a "what’s going on for New Year’s Eve?" list. If any of you promoters and club owners out there have events you want posted, send the info to me by December 11th to be included on the list. Mail it to houston_queen_of_clubs@yahoo.com. Stay tuned for a free new service in 2005 I’ll be offering that allows potential employers to view resumes for people in the entertainment and hospitality business. Happy holiday shopping to all! Here’s a gift idea that sure to please any recipient. Give a gift of health and relaxation, or give a de-stress treat to yourself with a 70 minute massage for the low price of $60. Massage Therapist, Charlotte Lenssen will make house calls to a home or office. For details or to purchase a gift certificate, call Charlotte at 281-852-6232 or 954-554-5754.

I hope everyone's bells get
