THIS IS BIG! I am hosting the shopping event of the century, called "Sipping and Shopping at 6°." The party takes place from 6-9PM on Saturday the 19th at 6° Lounge (911 Franklin.) The season of giving is upon us and 6° Lounge is hosting this so you can get a jump-start on your holiday shopping and enjoy time with your friends. 6° wants to get you ready for the holiday spirit so we are hosting this event that includes martinis, manicures, massages, palm reading, jewelry, makeovers, vendor tables to shop 'til you drop and sweet treats to nibble on. While you are being pampered and sipping on your cocktails, there will be different vendors to give you gift-giving ideas from the kitchen to the bedroom, and if you see something you like, you can buy it and take it home with you. 6° is also taking donations of clothing, blankets and canned goods to donate to local homeless shelters, so clean out your closets and your food pantries and bring what you can spare for those less fortunate. This is a co-ed event so the guys can come too and shop with us, or FOR us! Don't for get to register to win our fabulous door prizes when you enter. All of you are invited and bring your friends, too. Here is the link to see the invitation and to RSVP:

Bring your red stapler and receive a special gift! Stay tuned for the invite to the event, which will go out to all my readers early next week. Check out the web site and then be at 6° on November 18th for a fun-filled happy hour. Doors will open at 5PM. Here's the movie web site http://www.foxhome.com/officespace/index.php. There will also be a special prize to the office that brings the most employees, so email kim@sixdl.com to reserve your area and you can win a Christmas party at 6° if your party is the biggest on the 18th. Size DOES matter, you know.

Don't miss this Friday at the Social (3730 Washington at Yale) with special guest DJ, Jay Dabhi (Lil' Jay) and the MahabeatZ (Yogi G & DJ Alex.) Go see the comedy show at the Stafford Civic Center beforehand with comics Rahul Siddharth, Nikki Chawla, and Sugar Sammy. To get tickets/info, check www.saywhatentertainment.com. Then attend the after party at the Social with great music, great vibes, and you. There is a Lychee Martini Special and no cover. Did you know the Social is a Houston Legend? Even before stepping foot into their place, you can get your fill of "socializing" on their web site at www.thesocialinfo.com where they have forums for discussions, photos of past events, and information about the landmark at Washington and Yale. Among many other great events and special nights at the Social boasts of Non-Friction Fridays, which are five hours of a feverish Happy Hour, with drink specials from 4pm-9pm. There is no cover, and parking is free, but they do enforce their dress code, even during happy hour. Happy Hour Drink Specials include $3 Frozen Drinks, Wells, and Domestic Bottled Beer, Take $0.50 off drafts, and pay just $4.50 for Call Drinks. Nice spot for a Friday, after work. Sip your passion on the gorgeous patio. I always have tons of love from the Queen for Jaysen Clark at the Social. Meet me there this Sunday for the monthly "Sundown" party.

"heARTS"... a holiday fund-raising event for the Houston AIDS Foundation Houston will take place Wednesday, November 16th from 6:00-9:00PM at El Centro. The event includes culinary art sensations for the palate by El Centro, visual art imagery by Mollie Moore (I own one of her paintings, they are incredible) and audio art stimulation by DJ Tucker. 30% of all food and beverage sales and 25% of all art sales benefit AIDS Foundation Houston. El Centro is located at 416 Main Street. I'll be at this event. Need info? www.ElCentro.cc.

I love the photos from the Erotic Cabaret Fashion Show at 6° in this month's Envy magazine. Thank you, Envy. Here's a good source for networking events: www.askthenetworker.com.
