Wednesday
February 8th at 6° Lounge (911 Franklin) is the "My
Space or Yours?" party. Meet and play with all of your friends

Addik will be special guest and Nell and Julian will be working

Marlin (300 Main) The special guest band
is Kosmic Latte. Come cheer on your favorite bartender to fame
and fortune. Contest begins at 9PM. The kitchen is open until

The UPPER HAND will keep it's doors open late for one night
only on Thursday, February 9th from 6-9PM. Five of the master/senior
stylists will lead small groups of clients and share all (most)
of their styling secrets. Each group will focus on a different
style or hair length, feature a demonstration, and leave clients
with fabulous finishing tips. The sessions will begin at 7PM
with instruction, demonstration, and lots of questions and answers.
Clients are welcome to visit as many sessions as they would like.
Guests will enjoy wine, cheese, and tasty treats from Central
Market while filling your arsenal with styling tools. Also, you

the City is a networking group that empowers you to "Become

empowerment and inspiration. Lord knows I need help in both areas!
Vickie Milazzio is their distinguished guest in the first Women
Empowerment Series. Vickie Milazzio will share her "Ten
Powerful Feminine Forces" which she has written about in
her new book, "Inside Every Woman." The event will

The Texas Dragon Boat Association celebrates the kickoff of
the 2005 Dragon Boat season with a mixer on February 9th at 7PM
upstairs, above Slainte Irish Pub in the Ruby Room located at
509 Main Street. The Art League of Houston will be on hand to
preside over the juried art competition for the 2006 Texas Dragon
Boat Festival logo. Students from the University of Houston-Clear
Lake designed entries to reflect the excitement of Dragon Boat
racing and the rich Asian culture. The winner will be announced
