Hey all you party peeps out there in clubland! I've missed you. I skipped a couple of weeks of writing, but I have a very valid reason for being a slacker. I have taken on a new project and have been working on creating some new events for us all to enjoy. Oh! Speaking of cool events, in the tradition of my now-famous Martini Mix-offs, Houston welcomes Cricket Wireless to the scene at an event where you can BE seen. Join us on Thursday, August 17th for the Launch party and Cricket-tini Competition at St. Pete's Dancing Marlin. Cricket has a lot of excitement in-store for party attendees with give-aways and a contest to select the official Cricket-tini recipe for Houston. The event will feature give-aways to the guests as well as the talent of 5 of Houston's fab bartenders in the mix, Joey of Buddha Lounge, Kyle of Milan, Brad and Brianna of St. Pete's and Denver of Lone Star. Join us at St. Pete's Dancing Marlin at 8PM on the 17th to see whose recipe is chosen as the official Cricket-tini.

Congrats to the winners of the recent Martini Mix-off #6, Daniel from the Cotton Exchange, Jessica from Milan and Ian from St. Pete's. The next and last Martini Mix-off before the grand finals will be at Cotton Exchange on Wednesday, September 27th to enter, simply contact me. Bar Owners, the 2007 Mix-offs will be held once monthly. I am now reserving dates for 2007 from March on. Contact me if you'd like to host one. The top 2 winners from the contests this year will compete for $1,000 in cash in November. Special thanks to our sponsors and judges.

Where in the world is Lushus Brown? When it's sweltering outside and the sweat runs all down your back, Crome Wednesdays are just as hot inside with Lushus and everyone's favorite professional nightlife tyrant, Frosty. Even the Wednesday night drink prices are HOT with $5 u-call-its (top shelf included,) $3 beers and $4 jaeger bombs and on top of that no cover charge. Crome (2815 S. Shepherd) must have heat stroke to offer prices so low, so get in on hump day where it is shake your lady lump day at Crome.

Speaking of Lushus, she, along with Prog Queen and Jessica Partin will be the talented DJs at Cotton Exchange on Saturday for our V.I.SHE party. It's a little celebration of females hosted by a few females who know how to have fun. Join us early for free champagne. Guys, the place will be overflowing with ladies so this is definitely the place to be. Here is the URL to the invite if you have not received yours yet: http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h241/houstonqueenofclubs/vishe.jpg
