Frosty, the Nightlife Tyrant is at it again! He is "boy wonder" when it comes to creating sensational club promotions and this one will prove to be no different. The place to be every Thursday is now Blur (710 Pacific at Crocker.) The new promo launched on March 1st and I was out of commission with what I thought was the flu, but later found out was Pneumonia, so I missed the premiere party. Lushus Brown was also missing in action due to the flu, but Jessica Lozano took over as DJ and brought down the house, but would you expect anything less from the Houston Press winner of the DJ Spin-off to go to the Winter Music Conference in Miami. I was fortunate enough to see Jessica at Dean's recently and she gave me a CD she made. She is a mighty little powerhouse of a DJ in such a tiny package. I hope to do an event with her sometime this year. Perhaps the next V.I.SHE party? Join Frosty and Lushus each Thursday at Blur for ZOO THURSDAZE. Frosty is putting the "LIFE" in nightlife!

Eight Friends Out is moving and mingling down on Main Street this month. Join EFO Thursday, March 15th, when singles of all ages take part in a Progressive Dinner in Houston's cosmopolitan downtown district. The social dinner will begin at 6:00, for cocktails and introductions at the fabulously chic Hotel Icon in the Icon Bar. At 7:00, the group will gather and stroll to Mia Bella (320 Main Street) for a sit-down dinner. Guests can expect to taste nothing but the best from this restaurant's Italian cuisine with a touch of a Mediterranean flair. By 9:00, everyone will be off to Bossa (610 Main) for succulent desserts and salsa dancing. Muy Caliente! You must RSVP to be a part of this event. For more information please call 281-870-0827, email Kelly@EightFriendsOut.com or visit www.EightFriendsOut.com. For all the stiletto wearing ladies, don't worry, everything is within a few blocks of each other so your feet won't hurt too much. Ticket Price is $65.00 (All Inclusive.)

Spoiled Boyz will present an after-hours party on March 17th (it'll really be 3:00AM, which is technically Sunday the 18th, but most of you will still be out from the 17th, so let's just call it the 17th, shall we?) This month's party is called SHAM ROC with two of my favorite DJ's, Surain and Alec C. The bash will take place at Ultra (108 Main) and advance tickets are $15 at M2M Fashions on Montrose or Male U Wear on Westheimer. More details can be found at www.spoiledboyz.net or www.myspace.com/spoiledboyz. JUNGLE 15 is on the way in early April. Look for details in the next issue or, in the meantime, take a peek at the four-day long party and happenings at http://junglehouston.com/.

It seems like I write about YAP (Young Active Professionals) all the time because the organization really does have something going on all the time. I always meet new people at their Monthly Mixer but the group also has other activities, like trips, cruises, sporting events, dinners etc. The monthly happy hour is YAP's signature event to meet a lot of people and the party continues to grow in size each month. You may join YAP by logging on to www.yapclub.com. Membership is free. This month's happy hour is at one of my favorite places, the Flat (1701 Commonwealth) and it's a great opportunity to mingle. Most members are single, but there are a few couples who are members and attend YAP activities, so being single certainly isn't a requirement. Bring business cards too, because these are great parties in which to network. There will be happy hour prices until 9:00 and the Flat will generously provide us with some complimentary pizzas to munch on. The Flat opens at 6 for us on March 23rd for this event, but the Flat usually opens at 7PM, normally. Please invite your friends and co-workers to this event and invite them to join the over 300 Houston members of www.yapclub.com. Believe it or not, I will get out of working at Mingalone's that night in order to attend. I'm never off on a Friday night, so this is a treat! Enjoy free and ample parking across the street from the Flat at Reid's Key Shop. See more of the Flat at www.myspace.com/barflat and www.barflat.com. I hope to see all of you on March 23rd! Check out the new myspace page layout for the Flat, designed by Brie De Coster. It rocks and so does my Bratty Brie. Add the Flat as a myspace friend, if you aren't already ours.

Also on March 23rd, Dos Equis will present the Envy party entitled JUNGLE LOUNGE at the House of Dereon's Media Center (www.hodmediacenter.com) at 1505 Hadley in midtown. A word to the wise, enter on Crawford between Webster and Hadley. There will be a model mingle from 9-11 and the show for the 2007 Envy Model Search will start at 11:30. Music will be provided by DJ Red and DJ Silver and plenty of complimentary Dos Equis will be a-flowin'. Admission is free, but you MUUUUUUUST RSVP for yourself and up to five friends. I mean it, you must RSVP, my kittens. Email first and last names of those you wish to be put on the guest list to RSVP@77002.com. Remember, first and last names, not just first names. This is a 21 and up event, so have your ID ready. I am planning to stop by that night after my event at the Flat. I heard celebrity doorman, Gary T. Murphy will be greeting all the guests.

For those of you who haven't seen me in a while, since all I do is work it seems, I have whacked off all my hair and I am a blonde again. I'm pretty sure blonde is my natural color. I really can't remember, though, what shade of blonde. Well I want to brag on my hairstylist, Kimberly, who owns Amado Salon (1802 Dunlavy.) She rocks! Oh and she also carries a lot of really reasonably priced jewelry at the salon so take some extra money to buy some bling. The salon has gotten a lot of really praising reviews on www.citysearch.com, as well. Stop by and see what services they offer and why everyone seems to love them so much. My next hair appointment is on March 23rd and I couldn't be more excited about it.

DECO DOWNLOAD: Friday, March 30th will play host to the second annual "Wine Women and Song" event co-sponsored by www.houstonqueenofclubs.com and Houston Single Source. Last year's party was at the Flat. It drew over 125 guests and was even featured on the news. Deco has launched its new "25 under 5" promotion that features 25 wines by the glass, all under $5 each during happy hour. This event is an awesome opportunity to meet other singles, hear great music, taste some new wines and receive a goody bag (bags just for the ladies, though.) See our sexy ad in March's barstool magazine on page 41. For more information or to RSVP please visit http://www.houstonsinglesource.com or email Denise at denise@houstonsinglesource.com or give her a call at 713-630-0546.

NEWS IN THE BIZ: Gary Murphy is now the doorman at the Flat on Monday, Friday and Saturday, Melody Fraser, former bartendress at Sky Bar and 6: Lounge, and her husband Dave will welcome their first bundle of joy, Chloe, to the world on July 21st. John Digweed is at Warehouse Live on March 15th. Roc Bar will host the season launch party for the Houston Roller Derby on March 15th.The Scissor Sisters will be at the Verizon Theater on March 16th. March 17th at the Last Concert Cafi. Join the party and wear your green at 1403 Nance Street. Did you know that Deco carries 22 Vodka Varieties? Well, it's true. I know my Deco (510 Gray) trivia.

Okay, so I've said it before, but I think I want to quit smoking. I even have the patch at my house and I swear, after this pack, I'm going to use it. Did you know NicoDerm CQ has helped over 3.1 million people quit smoking, because it helps protect you from cravings all day long? It even has a patented system called SmartControl. It delivers a steady stream of nicotine that helps target cravings you might have throughout the day. Be sure to visit www.nicodermcq.com for more information to help you or someone you know quit smoking. If you see me out and this doesn't include my March 23rd outing. I plan to quit on the 24th, people, anyway, if you see me out and I'm smoking, ask me WTF am I doing please, will you?
